Here is another trick that I learned at the Hub
You take the numbers 1 to 17 and try to arrange them in an order so that if you add any two side by side numbers they will add up to a perfect square
Only one person in the class could figure it out and he`s the Math wizard of the class and only took him a few minutes but in a class of thirty on so people, one got it
So that kinda proves its fairly hard
Try it yourself and post your time in the comments
(for those of you who don`t know, a perfect square is the product of a number multiplied by itself)

Who do you want to be online?
I want to be able to be myself. It’s hard with all the rules about not giving away personal information
What is a digital footprint and how can you control yours
A digital footprint is like a real footprint on the moon. It’s what you leave in your wake when you blog or post videos and it’s eternal. The elements will not ravage it as they would a real footprint and if you look hard enough you can see them forever
What recent embarrassing story of a celebrity has developed?
There is the story about Rob Ford doing cocaine while in office as mayor of Toronto. One picture of him which was found online has ruined him. He has been stripped of most of his power and the only reason he is still mayor is political stuff
What are some strategies that you use to stay safe online.
I avoid giving away personal information to even my most trusted friends. Who knows where it will end up
Which categories of people are more vulnerable online that others and why.
Young kids are very vulnerable because they don’t know the do’s and don’ts of the internet. They may accidentally give away personal information that could put themselves or others in danger.
Are offline and online risks any different and why
I think there isn’t a huge difference between them. We have “stranger danger” and things like that. we also have many other rules that are very similar to real life. Don`t share personal information, You wouldn`t just paint on the front of you house `your name here` lives here.
My class did this assignment today maybe you guys would like to take the test
My inquiry is I am going to build an automatic fish feeder for my schools fish.
Here is the design which I am using as a reference for my build. (DISCLAIMER. I don’t own this design. All credit for the design goes to the creator).
it is a very interesting build. if your going away for the weekend and you don’t want to bother your friends or hire someone to feed your fish. Just turn this thing on, set the timer and away you go. Nothing to worry about.
Also this week
I did my Ihub reads presentation this week. My book was Eragon by Christopher Poalini. If anyone reading this has read the book they know what I mean when I say its one of my favourite fantasy novels of all time.
Its an amazing book with a top notch plot and a cast of characters unrivalled in the books I have read. if you haven’t read this book and you like fantasy as much as I do. Drop everything and go get this book now. its very very good
we did another card trick today
you start with any number of cards. One of them is a king (tips, start small) put them in a circle and you have to get rid of all the cards except the king
Here is the catch. You have to do it in a pattern.
the pattern is you can go either clockwise or counter clockwise and you pick one card to take out, skip the next card, take the card you land on out, skip one and repeat
if this is confusing let me know
I know you probably won’t agree with me, so lets get ready to grumble (Mythbusters quote lol)
These are my most trusted websites

lately I’ve been think of starting a YouTube channel
I’m thinking of doing some funny/review videos for no real particular reason other than maybe to have some fun with the games and maybe seeing how hard it is to get noticed on YouTube.
I have some concerns thought a few being that if I do get popular. People will expect one or two videos a week at the least and that leads me to one of my other concerns. Time is already a huge problem for me. I have to balance hockey, homework, and everyday life and if I was to start doing videos that may leave me with no free time at all. I heard from one of my favourite YouTubers recently that he hadn’t taken a vacation from his videos in over two years because of the deadlines and for a guy who has been to Florida 15 times in the last 14 years that’s pretty scary.
In conclusion I think I might start doing videos but in the first video and every so often in the description I’ll make a quick disclaimer saying that I do have a life and I might miss a few videos every once in a while because of it.
I have an awesome card trick to tell you about
It works like this
You take any number of cards numbered Ace to King (5 to 13) and arrange them so that when you put one card down, put the next card on the bottom, put the next card down and then but the next card on the bottom (repeat until out of cards) they all end up in order (A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,J,Q,K).
Me and my friend ended up starting at 5 cards and worked our way up to 10 before we got stuck.
Post your scores in the comments. I’d love to see them.
hello people of earth
For a school project I’m trying to build a automatic fish feeder, out of a Lego robot I got for Christmas a while ago (the Mindstorms NXT 2.0). I don’t have a design yet and I still have to figure out the programming software. I think I have the basic concept for it. For those of you that played with Lego earlier in life or still do, remember those rods that had the circular holes in them for putting pegs and axles in. I’ll probably use those to hold the fish food put something under it to keep it from falling out and every day the rod holding the food will move a bit letting some of the food fall in while saving the rest for the next day. this should be relatively easy to make but the real challenge will be the programming, even thought the programming is designed to be as simple as possible due to Lego’s main audience is children its a matter of finding it. my copy of the soft ware is lost and i have searched for it online to no avail but I believe I can find it if I look hard enough
You have to get them all across the river unharmed. In a boat that only holds two people or apes at a time.
Only the gorilla and the humans can row the boat the monkeys are to small
Apes cannot outnumber humans or the humans die
The boat can only hold two people
Boat cannot travel when someone isn’t rowing it (human or gorilla)
We eventually came up with the solution (with the help of Mr Khalili). It was tough we tried eliminating all that ended in death and it all ended badly. Until we got some help and found out that two people could come back as well as go to the other bank. We eventually finished.
You try it

Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Could you be friends with a protagonist of your book ?
There are two answers to that question. The first is the most obvious.
No he is fictional and therefore not a real person. fake people (sadly) cannot be friends.
The other is yes because we share many interests like reading and swordplay (albeit we like swordplay for very different reasons his swordplay keeps him alive and i enjoy swordplay because it fun). Although there are many differences between us besides the obvious dragon rider title, he a very powerful magician and all i can do is make money disappear ( by spending it). He has more responsibility’s than I care to count. So I doubt he would have much time to “hang out” so maybe the answer is just flat out no (again sadly).
However if we are basing this solely on personality, likes and dislikes. I have a feeling that in the four book span I have know him we would get along well enough seeing as though he is somewhat sarcastic at times, deadly serious or caring at others. And that accompanied by our shared likes leads us to my thesis statement
So yes I think we could be friends.
